Distracting

In our day to day lives, teenagers have a lot going on. If it's not school, then it's friends, or jobs. Some days we can feel overwhelmed and feel like we have no time for a break. But how often do you take time out of your day to focus on God. Some days it is easier then others, but it is still important everyday. Luke 10:38-42 says, "AS Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to Him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what He said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to Him and asked, 'Lord don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!'
'Martha, Martha,' the Lord answered, 'you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it  will not be taken away.'"
Mary dropped everything to listen to Jesus, while Martha was busy working. Martha chose to do something that is only temporary, while Mary chose to do something that is eternal and it won't be taken away from her. So in our lives, are we choosing to worry about things that are only temporary, or are we dropping everything to have time to focus on God. In the end, it does mater about how you did in school, or how many friends you have, or how much money you make, but it matters if God was in you life everyday.
