Another Coloring

So this is another pictured that I colored. I love this coloring because it is all about photography. I am going to break down line by line.

Focus on God: When you focus an image, you make it crystal clear. The fuzziness of the object is gone, and you can see the very fine detail. When we focus on God, we can see who God is, his plan for us, and his individual love for us. There is no more confusion, and God becomes clear to us.

See Beauty Today: Sometimes we can get caught up in the mistakes of our past, or the worries of the future. When you take a picture, you are only focusing on that moment. In that moment, there are some wonderful and beautiful things going on.

Develop from the Negatives: When you take photos on film, the picture is actually a negative. That means what is suppose to be white is black. The photographer then has to take the negative and convert it into a positive. So in our life, we may only see the negative at first, but there is a way to turn that into a positive.

Capture the Good Times: When you take a picture you can capture on the good in your life and the world. When you have the storms in your life, there are good things that you can be grateful for.

I love this coloring, and I pray that you can find encouragement from this.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your love, and always being there for us. Help me to focus on you, and to see the beauty in my life and the world around me. Amen.

Change

Going to school in Iowa you see only a few things, corn and ethanol plants. In church this week, the pastor made a connection to the change corn goes through to become ethanol. Corn turns from a solid to a liquid. There is a lot of energy that is required to make ethanol. The same thing happens to us. Romans 12:2 says, Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." God wants to transform us into something new. But that process isn't it. It is very difficult, requires a lot of energy, and it takes time, but at the end of the day, your old self will be gone. The new self will be beautiful, and you will be able to live out God's will for your life, which is better than anything you can imagine.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for you love, and for wanting to make us into a new creation. During the rough times in my life, help me to find comfort in you. Amen.

Coloring Page

For Christmas, I got some of the adult coloring books. I love them. I got two, and one of them has a verse that goes with each picture. This one is the first one I colored. I don't know if I am going to post more, but I want to post this one. The verse is 1 John 3:1 which goes, "see what kind of love the Father has given to us that we should be called children of God, and so we are." I just love how this verse puts it that by God's love, we are called his children. We are a part of his family, and he cares deeply about each and every one of us. So I pray you enjoy the picture and reflect on what it means to you to be a child of God.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for calling me your child. Help me to live my life in a way that reflects your love. Amen.

There is Time

I saw this experiment in Chapel on Wednesday, and I thought that it was well done. So I am recreating it for you. The main verse that was the focus of Chapel was Ephesians 5:16 which says, "Making the best use of the time, because the days are evil." The focus of chapel was making the best use of time. To do this, there was a collection of objects, each representing something in your life.
Beans: YouTube, Video Games, Netflix, Facebook
 File: Work
 Tape: Faith
 Paper Clips: Family
 Clips: Social Life
 Cat Ball: Calling Mom
Bracelet: Health and Beuaty
 Eraser: Homework
 Star Wars Candle: Hobbies
 Pencil Shapener: School

Now that we have all these activities in our life, it is important how we organize them. For a bad organization results in running out of time. But if you can prioritize what is important as being done first, then you will find that you can use your time wisely. Below are examples of bad and good priorities of time.

Bad Priorities

This happens when you put YouTube, Netflix, etc. before the more important things in life, you find yourself running out of time. You have more things to do than time to do it.
 Good Priorities

When you put the important stuff in life first, You will find that you will have time to get everything you need to accomplish and that you still have time to goof off on the internet.

God warned us about making good use of our time, and when we do, we can get a lot accomplished.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the 24 hours in the day that we get. I pray that you will help me use that time wisely to grow and help further your kingdom, and yet still have some time to relax. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

Everything Wrong

So there are these videos on Youtube that pretty much go over everything that is wrong with a movie. I first saw these with my roommates showed me one for Star Wars. It's funny because the videos for Episode I-III have two videos per episode. I got the sense that he didn't like the first episodes at all. He goes into a lot of detail of everything that he believes is wrong. After watching the videos, I can say that I don't agree with all of what he says. For one, I actually liked the first Episodes of Star Wars. (Yes, I am weird.)
After watching these videos, I was thinking about how easy it is to find the things that are wrong with someone else or even about ourselves. It is easy to focus on the negative. I bet in 10 seconds you can come up with a list of everything that is wrong with you. But if all you focus on are the negatives, then it can be hard to get up in the morning. But when you focus on the positives, it can be a lot easier to live your life for God, for you are focusing on the amazing things that he has done. So try it this week. Focus on the things that are right and not the things that are wrong.

Dear Heavenly Father
Thank you for all the love you gave, and for making us in your image. I pray that I can focus on all the good you have done for me. Amen.

The Power of a Testimony

So this is a recent speech I gave at my old high school, to the Christian club. I thought it was good so I posting it for you to watch. Enjoy.
Power of a Testimony

Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray that the words that come out of my mouth can reflect your greatness Lord. Amen.
