Rejoicing Over What's Lost

When Jesus taught he used a lot of parables. One of my favorite parables is the one about the Lost Coin. The parable in Luke 15:8-10 says, "Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.' In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angles of God over one sinner who repents." When we lose something that's important to us we search for it until we find it. Once we find it we rejoice because we have found what is lost. God is continually seeking after us. He wants you to turn to Him and follow His word. Every time one sinner repents and turns to God, heaven rejoices and throws a big party. It doesn't matter your past or where you came from, the moment you repent and turn to God is the minute heaven throws a party for you.
